Germany Discovers Zoran and The Gypsy Swing Band

Zoran and his Gypsy Swing Band created an outstanding atmosphere in the Regensburg Jazz Club. Zoran captured the German audience with witty announcements and songs he sung in Slovenian, English, French and German. The various musical styles are an excellent ground for the top notch band, accompanying Zoran at his concerts, to build their performance on – from "Firehand" Bezget to the dream timing of the drummer Gašper Bertoncelj.

 
Za šaku ljubavi (For a Handful of Love) Conquers Bosnia

In agreement with the Dallas Records company, the Sarajevo record company Hayat Production released Zoran Predin's "Za šaku ljubavi" (For a Handful of Love), one of his best albums in accordance to the Croatian music critics.

The Recording of Zoran's 28th Album

On 23 April the recording of Zoran's 28th album started in Maribor under the supervision of the producer Danilo Ženko. Zoran wants to present ten new songs in the autumn.

 
Live Gypsy Swing Album

On 17 April in the Tvornica concert hall in Zagreb, Zoran recorded his first live Gypsy Swing Band album together with the vibraphonist Boško Petrović and trumpet player Izidor Leitinger. Aki Rahimovski appears as a special guest. The concert was recorded by the Croatian National Television and it is going to be broadcast in June, in two parts.

 
A Book on Zoran's Music Career

The well-known journalist and alpinist Tadej Golob is writing a book about Zoran's music career, which is going to be released next year for the 30th anniversary of Zoran's work. A collection of poetry with selected lyrics is also being prepared.

 
Zoran Receives the Viktor Popularity Award

After the fourth nomination, Zoran Predin has received the Viktor Popularity Award. Zoran intends to celebrate it with his band and guests at a concert entitled "All-purpose Lover", taking place on 19 April in Kranj. The drummer Gašper Bertoncelj will fly home directly from New York, while the trumpet player Izidor Leitinger will arrive from Paris. The backing vocalists Deep-throated Doves are flying in from Maribor directly through the Tuhinjska dolina valley.

The film by Rudi Uran has been shot at the rehearsals of the Žive legende band in the Maona hostel in Piran. The atmosphere was very productive. The film ends with shots from our second Irish tour. Marko Zorko is one of the people appearing in the scene taking place in a Dublin pub.
